As a postgraduate student of Tesol in University of Warwick, my most intuitive feeling is that the class is very fun here. In china, grades-oriented English education pattern focuses more on how much knowledge can be imparted and how much exercises can be taken within limited time. Games may be seen as a waste of time by traditional English teachers. However, my own experience here proves that proper games will not waste time. On the contrary, games can be effective tools for teachers to make the class more interesting and

How to create our own activities?

As the name implies, this activity gives students words or phrases as answers and demands students to come up with corresponding questions, which is very helpful to check students' understanding about words. You can set the number of teams and ask students to name their own teams. Words of different difficulty levels will be given different scores and teams can have a competition. The whole process is very interesting.

Text spinner is a very useful tool for teachers, especially for them to select students to answer questions. You can input students' names into the spinner and then spin the spinner. Students will like this method as it is very exciting. Task spinner also has the similar functions. Besides, you can input the question in the circle of task spinner.
